I have just returned from Coppercon and was delighted with what you had done with the 'miniatures' of your paintings. The sad part was that I was unable to get into the art show until it was too late to do any bidding. I hope that you will be sending some work to Loscon (over Thanksgiving weekend) so that maybe I can pick up some more of your work. I do believe that I have some of it. I do admire your ability to do animals. I have dabbled (and I mean dabbbled) in sketching and drawing and I am totally amazed at your use of colors. My boyfriend and I just moved in together (in June 2001) and we're going to have to go through our individual art collections to see who has what but I think we've both bought some of your work and I know we've both bought some Nene (spelling???).I look forward to seeing more of your artwork here in Southern California.Rebecca

James...Hello,I am in complete awe of your work. I have visited your site numerous times and have shown many a friend your work on the site. I am a nephew of a successful artist, Mary Baxter St. Clair (faries and flowers, nice stuff) Unfortunetly, she is a bit full of her success to bother with family things.James I am also an aspiring artist as well....not formally trained but I do have 2 childrens books that are at the publishers that I have illustrated. If you EVER have the inkling to teach someone, someone that is energetic, talented, and very impressed with your style, even if it is for a breif moment, I would be honoured!! Please keep me in mind...Also, I would like to know when and where you are showing your work, esp. L.A. California.....Take good care James and keep up the AWESOME work!!

Greetings, Celtic soul reborn to us! A star fell from the sky one night, and it was you, destined to bring a wealth of art, especially the intricate art of the Celts to those of us ever searching for beauty in our crude and crass world. Your images reveal the depth of your appreciation of the mystic and mysterious, from the unfathomed message of an animal's gaze to the poignancy of ancient legends and to the soaring heights of unexplored galaxies, all painted with the honesty of a artist's soul.Congratulations on your art in all its expressive forms and thank you for making it available to us. This message is from a true romantic whose soul revels in the world of fantasy and dreams among ghosts but walks the walk in mundane conventional disguise. I am with you always.a quote: "Wars are fought so that artists may be free". (anon.)

I ran into samples of your Xena art on Jeri Peterson's XENA FANTASY ART GALLERY and followed the link to this site. The body of work you've assembled is very well done. Excellent use of painting techniques, sir. The latest piece Jeri posted, "Reflections", showed wonderful use of color highlights for Gabrielle's face and hair.
